well, i got started on the interior for my mudder, figured it was a good place to start while im waiting for the 400. gonna use 2 bucket seats out of a van, and making a wood center console to house a cooler, or whatever, and the cd player and a 10" inside of it. the dash is gonna be 2 plates of sheet metal angled down housing the gauges and some midranges. managed to bust the windsheild pulling the dash, but hey its all good. im gonna try to find a rubber floor liner for it, so its not so slick. i threw a seat in it and drove it around the block and it was comfortable, so i think im gonna like it. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=99386&width=0https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=99387&width=0https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=99388&width=0 any input is welcome, and do you need mirors?
I am planning on Herculining my whole interior of my '67 so I can just take the pressure washer to the interior to clean it. As for the dash, since it looks like you have nothing there, your options are unlimited to what you could do!
well, untill about 6 yesterday there was plenty of interior, just very smoky, discolored and smelly from a seat that went up in smoke. How would that not be legal? you dont have to have doors, it will have harnesses, it will have a speedo, and its got a windsheild. i plan on putting the cd player and whatnot just because i like music when i ride. i dont do drags, so its not like im only in it for a minute at a time, we just go all out on bogs on feilds, we just pull out the chisel plow, plow down by a creek and call it good and let it fill up.
i was talking to my brother when he came over, and he had the bright idea to try putting hardwood floors in it? i could put nice polished hardwood floors, and a lincoln steering wheel, and some 22's, and be the ford muddin pimp, hows that sound to yall?
well, since im on a budget, i think for rims ill just have to buy those hub caps that are made to cover up part of your tire to make the rim look bigger, and with spinners too, cause what kinda p.i.m.p. would i be with out spinners?
You can buy enuf herculiner to do a long box pickup for like $80-90 or cheaper if you get the shortbox version. I figured I would buy enuf to do a long box so I would have enuf to do my inside of my cab.
oh ok, so herculiner is the do it yourself version of it. i wasnt sure if this was the spray on kind or not. if i went this route, id end up doing some cutting and patch work to fill some of the roughness, and unevenness of the cab like in the corners and whatnot. shoot, id probly go al out and do the rear of the cab while im at it.
I just had the whole floor of my truck line-xed and they only charged me total 175 to do it all. It looks really good, and is less that twice of what it would cost to do it yourself, professionally done and applied hot. I would really recommend going this route.
