LMC Grille Shell/Surrounds
I bought one about 6 months ago from FORD.There list price was $212,I got mine for $148.Try your local dealer before buying a generic one.

LMC Grille Shell/Surrounds
After going to my local Ford dealer with no luck, and having that sales guy call dealers in the 3 surrounding states with no luck, I bought a after market grille shell for my 79 ford from a on line dealer. What I received was a paper thin stamped aluminum reprodution that was short by one inch from side to side of fitting the front end. I bought another one at a local parts place and it was the same junk when trying to fit it. So, am still looking for a good shell,

Dennis, you mean you bought a factory grille shell or a aftermarket ? I sure would like to find a factory grille shell, please let me know what kind of luck you had with your grill fitting if it was a reproduction unit, thanks

When I got mine the first dealer told me it was discontinued so I went to another one and they had no problem finding one.There are alot of dealerships on the net that you can request parts info from,then have your local dealer order it.I think mine came from a Kansas City warehouse.I had restored my truck 5 years ago with all factory parts and it got hit in the front so I didn't really want to use a generic one.The factory ones are about the same price too.

Just a word of caution.....
Before you purchase the aftermarket grille shell, ask if it is Anodized. Anodizing is a coating that protects the aluminum from light scratches, and keeps it shiney like the originals. Many, but not all of the aftermarket Grille shells produced are not anodized.
