I need to know, is there anyplace that sells an adapter to tow a 5th wheel from the bumper position? I have an opertunity at a smokin deal on a 20' 5th wheel, but I can't install the 5th wheel hitch, I have to have the bed space to haul my quad. Is there a way for this to be done??

They make tow dollies with 5th wheel hitches on them.
Saw one of these at an RV show once. They are pretty sturdy looking, but you have to consider the weight of the dolly in your tow figures, it's pretty heavy...

It is not the weight factor that some give it. Your engine and axle ratio will determine your true usable GCVW and towing abilty moreso than a "door sticker". Also for those that freak out about exceeding GVW's, the dolly takes the pin load off off of TV.

I won't put my dog in that fight, I was only saying the hitch buddy is heavy (1000 lbs according to their specs) and needs to be considered when determining what trailer to buy.

No arguement there but you should be considering your Trucks "true" towing abilty more when picking a trailer, not whether you are using a dolly per say.
Not exactly. If you hook up a 5th wheel with a proper adapter, it weighs down quite a bit on the rear axle, so you get more traction at the rear wheel. If you use the hitch buddy, you won't get much exstra weight on the rear wheell. This less of an issue with big SUVs like an Excursion, especially id equipped with 4x4, but with 2WD trucks, it can be significant. Probably not enough to make much of a difference on good, dry roads, but going uphill on a wet or snowy road can be problematic.
