gas mileage
I hadn't heard of a 2.00, I know there was a 2.75 in later model Fords, but a 2.00 is a new one on me.

What does the tag actually read for the rear engine code?? that number is on the far right of the second line. Never heard of a 2.00.
On my 1964 Shop manual - the codes go from N0. 11 which is 3.3-3.70 to No. B4 which is 4.56-5.

good luck on the gas mileage dude. I have a stock '65, 532, 2bbl autolite 2100 carb, stock manifold, holier than all heck exhuast system and I get 13 mph which is not great but it's cheaper than the POS audi that got 18mph and was in the shop at $500 a pop once a month. Plus you needed little monkey hands to work on it. They say you can get 18 mph but I'm not sure how-especially in winter with the additive they put in the fuel.
