460 missing, need help
New componants installed.
1. Edelbrock 750cfm performer carb.
2. Stock distributor.
3. Stock coil.
4. Plug wires.
5. Spark plugs.
6. Ignition module.
7. Distributor cap and rotor.
Compression check was as follows in cylinder number order; 140, 136, 140, 145, 140, 122, 134, 135. I put about a tablespoon or so of oil in # six cylinder that read 122psi. and the compression was still 122psi.
I connected a timing light to each cylinders spark plug wire and could not visually see any misfiring.
I don't notice the miss under heavy acceleration but I could be wrong about that. I've been use to my tired ol 400 that was in there and I'm running flowmaster 2 chambers so things are a lot differant for me now.
I read 5.8 volts on the coil and when I disconnect the leads from the coil I read 11 volts on the wires. Is that normal? The coil reads 1.4 ohms accross the primary and 9Kv across the secondary so I'm sure the coil is good.
I have knew ground cables to the engine block, chassis and I ran a knew ground to the ignition module.
Any help will be appreciated.
