I am getting a billet grill for the X but I have to change it quickly due to it being a company truck and my boss would kill me if he saw. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to remove the old one so I am prepared to do it very quick?
Simple, remove the four or five screws up top, then take a large flat blade screwdriver and open up the metal clips on the bottom to slide it out. When you are installing the new one, I found it easier to have the clips on the grill already. You'll see once you get into it.
As stated above, first remove all the screws on top.
Essentially the metal clips are "V" shaped and lying on their sides, with the open end of the "V" facing the front of the vehicle. Use the screwdriver to lift the bottom of the clip upwards to close the "V". Tug that section of the grill out slightly (not all the way, just enough to keep the "V" from springing back open) then move on to the next clip, doing the same thing. Once all the "V"s are partially removed, pull the entire grill out.
