Hi there,
I am taking my steering column apart. The collar that the blinker assembly is attached to, anyone know how to get it off? I took out the blinker assembly, removed the two bolts holding the collar in and it wont come off. I moved it about 1/4 incnch but that's it. Any suggestions?

There is a C-clip that is holding it in there. Push down on the blinker assembly to expose it. Use an ice pic and snap ring pliers, if that's the type of C-clip you have, to get it out of the groove. After you get the clip out, disconnect the blinker gang plug and slide the blinker assembly off of the column shaft. you've made it to the shifter assembly. It will come out easier than it will go back in.
