Transmission Coolers

Do all of the new F150's come with them? At first I thought it came w/ a trailer tow package when I saw the transmission cooler, but it did not come with a hitch...

if they sell you a hitch , they are liable when it breaks or comes loose , years ago they wouldnt give you a rear bumper , bob

ATF needs cooling, regardless of the presence or lack of the tow package. But not all F150s come with a tranny cooler -- the ones with manual tranny do not have transmission coolers.

(at least not from the factory)

Thanks Guys,

I was wondering about that because my s'crew can only tow 6800 lbs, which I don't need it for much else, but the bumper was only rated for 5000 lbs, so I guess I need to go buy a hitch...

Edit: I asked about the tranny cooler because it looked a lot bigger than the one on my old 1995 F150....
