The '51 Panel has a plate saying what else, but "1951PANL".
The '52 Panel's plate is "R 52PNL" (Our '52 Panel).
Here's a plate that I've "owned" for the last 6 years or so. It was on my LS until I took it off recently. The wife didn't like it.
It means "love to impress".

I'm going w/ the 'Year of Make" route, so they look like what the "Wee Beastie" was originally issued w/, so she'll be sporting the Yellow Background w/ Black Letter & Number CA. Commercial ones.

I wanted to get personalized plates referring to the California origination of my 55, but the DOT office in Iowa had me so angry I took what I could get. The IOWA people are still better than the California DMV people by a long shot, however.
I woud like to find some 1955 California plates to have for my truck. I keep watching Ebay for them. I had my chance at black plates on a junkyard walk once, but didn't take advantage of it.

Haven't had a chance to decide on my plates but when I get them its going to read either (SkinU Up), (UBN Skin) or (Skininn) Redskin fan here and the color of the truck is going to be that scarlett color....if all else fails..... 54 F100, 54 Ford, 3Js 54 or James54....

I haven't decided on my 51 yet, but will need to get it licensed fairly soon. I'd like something like "Flatty" but I imagine that's already taken. My wife and I are St. Louis Blues hockey fans (well, kinda, what the heck happened to them this year?!) so we have Missouri plates with the Blue Note logo, that read 2 D BOX (to the penalty box). After spending a couple years caretaking for and doing a couple of very big repairs on my father in law's 65 Mustang Fastback for his retirement gift, my mother in law said they want it so they could sell it. HUH?? Next thing I know my wife bought it from them, so I think the plates we get on it need to be "SPITE".

ok, 56LTNG, when my street rod gets repainted it will read BKINBLK, I've also had 31VIC, and LVI FC, my wife (GOMD) has ''SPARKLY''. I have a shoebox full of paper scraps with clever plates written down. I keep saying I'm going to write a book about vanity plates but the project is in the double digits on the priority list. good thread!!
