Very possible. U can change out the exhaust housing to a larger one to prevent
seal failure.

I think we may be talking about two different things. The original post said something about torquing the two bolts that hold the turbo to the pedestal to 18 ft lbs... I just thought that wasn't very tight.

OOPpss! Got off track and crossed up ...Your right 18 doesn't like much torque on those bolts.

That is what it says in my shop manual. I torqued mine to that when i replaced my o-rings in my pedistal and have no leaks. That was a month or so ago. So i guess its alright. You can risk breaking or distorting with overtourqing so be carefull! Don't go crazy!!

i remember when i first did them. i had everything i had in those bolts. i tightened them to 30 ft lbs the third time around.
Stock wheel at 70 mph and 2k rpms gives you 4 to 5 psi
Wicked wheel with the same conditions I see 5 to 6 psi<o></o><o></o>
It appears that the stock wheel does not need to produce as much boost to accomplish the same thing as the wicked wheel. It is doing the same with less.

Yes. Pull off the intake boot to the compressor housing and look at the fins.
Here's a picture of both wheels. The WW(on right) has varied fins.

Now with my intake and 4" exhaust, I get a flutter or something of that nature. Should I go to a wicked wheel to help fix the probplem (plus I could always use more noise)? I also have a small oil leak that I believe to be coming from the pedastol. I kind of figured why not do it all at the same time. How long should it take me to get the wheel and o-rings changed out? Please take into mind I'm no mechanic.

The flutter is turbo stall and the WW will reduce that greatly. More noise? The WW will produce a high pitched whistle, drives the old woman crazy...... and as far as mileage, the pedistal can leak just about anytime so if your sure it's the pedistal and not a HP oil fitting or fuel leak, it will be easy to replace the o-rings when doing the WW. Get the oversized o-rings from kcmdieselperformance.
