I was looking at a picture of a lowered and chopped 79 f150 the other day and was wondering something. Has anyone ever seen one of these trucks with the molding indentation (that runs the length of the truck) shaved? I would be curious to see what it would look like. Not that i would do it to my truck, just curious to see.
I was wondering the exact same thing last night. I think it would like the 70's and 80's Dodge pickups. Unless it was tied into a certain paint scheme, I think it would make the truck look too plain.
I keep seeing this thread and thinking "That would take a lot of razors!"
I don't think it would make for a good look to remove the side channel personally but one or two guys here have shaved the drip rails, welded in the cab seams and filled in the cowl vents. They were subtle changes that made a BIG difference in the way the truck looked.
imho i cant stand it when guys chop shave and weld up thesse trucks... the only exception being the roof seem, it kinda looks better filled in. but thats just my opionion, and to each his own.
I would never consider doing it. I was just wondering if someone ever did it. I think these trucks are fine the waythey are and dont need seams welded, drip rails shaved etc.
