Man am I sick of dial-up...! No Cable/DSL avaliable, with Satellite internet being the only option... Sucks for us rural folks when Hi-speed internet is almost a necessity. Really hoping for WiMax
But anyways, just wondering who does and doesnt have hi-speed access here in TX.. (not counting satellite)?
Currently use Road Runner in Austin. I know SW Bell DSL and Comcast are options that are available as well here. Man, I can't imagine using dial up still. I have been on cable for almost 6 years now and just about drove myself crazy while visiting my in-laws up in Groom, Texas near Amarillo this past fall on their dial up. I feel for ya brother!
Well....I looked at Texas Communications website and apparently, they DO offer Wireless broadband in my area. Packages start at $40/month...we pay $22 right now, so $18 more aint much. I gave them my address to see exactly what I need....man, am I crossing my fingers
I have dial up, a miserable 28.8k..... best I can get. At work I have very high speed internet. I cant remember what it is.... but its pretty ignorantly fast. lol
