I would like to say hello to everyone on this site. Ya'll are a great source of information. I use this site all the time. I have told many about it.
I was thinking of installing a wicked wheel. Just wanted to know if it was a pretty straight forward install. I plan on doing a search on the subject but figured I would ask some people that know. Also is it worth the effort? I need to replace the turbo pedestale o-rings while I'm at it. Is there a place you can get both?
Goto Articles/Specs at the top of the page then click on Diesel you will see the article nicely written with pictures. I used it when I did mine, very straight forward. If you tow then it is very worth the effort. Goto Blackclouddiesel.com, Superior wheel is what you are looking for, I believe they have the o-rings as well. Good luck.
If u tow heavy it's a must have to prevent turbo surge/stall and it's the cheapest fix.If that doesn't cure it then the ATS housing should do it.
Doesn't give more boost but sounds great!
Thanks. Most of my driving is towing. 20,000 plus lbs. I have got to get rid of that stall and flutter.
I tow as well grossing 24,000 and the WW completly cleared up the stall. If you run with a mild power enhancer like the Tow/Haul on a Diablo Predator it will handle that just fine too. That's my setup and it works great. Any more than that and you can make it stall as well, but by then you're really working the truck hard and the EGT's will be over 1200 degrees. (Personal experience with big intake and 5" exhaust.)
Stay within safe bounds and you will have no stall whatsoever.
If you are curious as to what it will sound like, click on my signature where it says: "4 inch exhaust is not enough" and you will go to my list of sound bytes. It's at the bottom of the page.
No. That is just my excavator at around 13,000 and trailer at around 6,500. It pulls it like it isn't back there. The gear splitter helps with the gaps in the automatic between 2nd, 3rd. I pull it mainly in 3 over.

We have three PSD's. Two 7.3's and one 6. We have around 300,000 miles on one and 150,000 on one (7.3) and all we do is change the oil and do regular maint. on them. We have pulled that and more from Fl. to Md. and they just continue to amaze me. Why anyone would want anything but is beyond me.
I have buddies get in my truck and they talk about there gas guzzlers till I let the black smoke fly and they are all about these trucks.
Yeah, I thought my '95 460 had some power until I bought my '99 PSD. I can pull the exact same trailer up the exact same hill twice as fast with my '99.
Get that WW in there, you'll be glad you did. You'll love the way it changes the intake sound.
I have ordered it and I'm just wanting to make any changes while I have the turbo out. I have the leak everyone else seems to have and I'm going to address that at the same time. Just trying to get it all done once.
