Some shaved pistons to keep the C.P. in check, coated everything, and ALOT of air. I dont think he has to much of an EGT problem though. must not be a real hot program. I think he is still having problems with it though. Oh yea, stock head gaskets, head studs. and no fire rings. no I.C. either. last I talked to him he was getting 60+ psi, and he didnt know an exact number cuz the gauge only went to 60*
must be rough to have such toys.
Beans truck it pretty cool too. I dont know what all he has, never talked to him, just seen pics.

ok this kind of answers my question.the trucks i'm using have 4" radiators with the intercoolers behind them, they are completely seperate items when they are installed, similiar to what is on some volvo cars that sport a turbo and a intercooler to match.is it possible to run the twin setup with what i'm mentioning with these trucks?

I don't see why it isn't possible. I doubt that the intercooler, or the boots would handle 60+ psi of boost though. If you just wanna do it for looks and keep the boost #'s low then I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
a cowl hood will prolly be a must though, with the intercooler piping being in the way of where the second turbo usually goes.
What year are these work trucks anyway??? and who lets someone twin a work truck??? sound like you have the job that I want.

these trucks are already in the high 5.00's and are sliding backwards on hills and the roads leading out of the mines.the only reason these trucks are in use in these area's is because they are smaller than their larger cousins and fitting into some tight spots.one truck started off as a flat bed wrecker and went into the shop for a complete work over and serious modifications.it came out as a 6x6,with a caterpillar 636 under the hood and a 6 speed stick shift tranny.it's sporting a twin setup and the intercooler.the intercooler has it's intakes on it's sides near to where the turbo's tubing would be shortest and the output to the engine is on the top of the intercooler and just goes to the top of the intake manifold.the trucks i'm working on are getting serviced every 2 months and getting new tires every 6 months.the tires currently asked for by the owner of the trucks are the firestone super traction duplex.they are alright but i keep insisting on a different style of tires for safety sake.anyways any additional input from you guys would help.
