Eh, personally I don't think it'd be worth it, sure it'd be really cool, but, it would take so much man hours and money

Different, not sure what it's purpose would be but that's never stopped me from doing odd projects.

I can't think of any reason not to do it. A diesel dual ranger would be killer.

where are you going ot find a dually axle that weighs less than 700 lbs? the d70's are massive the sterlings are less, but still you don't have the abilty to stop the thing.you would burn the engine up fast.

We have a couple of older Nissian Hardbodys running around here with a dually set up. Next time I see one at the store or something I will ask the owner what kind of rear set up he is running.

Why would you make a chick truck a dually diesel? Wast of money, just buy a dually diesel.

It won't be worth the time and money you sink into it to anyone else. This is true of just about all custom car projects.

It's not my idea of what I'd do with the time and money, but if it's what you want to do, I'd say go for it. It'll be different, that's for sure. (I wouldn't expect that the mods would make it more capable as a hauler though. Probably less capable.)

Well...if you're going to go as far as think up duallies for a Ranger, how about tracks?

Do you mean one axle, 4 tires, or two axles under the bed of the Ranger instead of one. I don't know, something about it made me think that's what you might mean...but what do I know.

How about just a massive engine swap? If you're willing to do the fab work for a dually, I'm sure it's not too much of a stretch to fit a V8 under the hood.

I remember reading somewhere:

"With enough time and money, anything is possible."

Would it be cool? Yes. Would it be practical? Probably not.

Go ahead and do it anyway.

Clearly this isn't the easiest way to do this. However, it's an interesting project that would result in a unique vehicle. Saying that it's a waste of money misses the point.
