firing order

1993 f150 i replaced the dist and i dont know the firing order its a 5.0 l can any one help

Check the emissions label to be certain, but try 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 first and see if that works. The distributor turns counterclockwise when looking down on the cap. Cylinders are 1-4 front to back on passenger side, and 5-8 front to back on drivers side.

If it doesn't run right on that order, try 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 and see if that works better.

Haynes manual sez 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 for up-to-'94 - the other order is for '95 and later...
