Dreams
I would like to know what dreams you have for your truck. It might give some of us an idea for our own truck. I would just like to know what sort of modifications you have planned for your truck. Engine? Transmission? Gears? Paint? Gas Tanks? That sort of thing.
This will allow us to share our dreams with others as well.
And I know that everyone here has a dream that they can post. Because no matter what we have already done to our truck, there is ALWAYS something else that we would like to do. :-)
As for me, I have a lot planned for my truck. I plan on rebuilding the 360 into a 390 this spring. Or maybe even a 460. Put on Edelbrock Intake, Cam, and Carb kit. I want to get the truck painted a metallic Blue. New shocks (probably Rancho 9000s, unless anyone has any suggestions). Install a saddle tank (to get rid of the in-cab tank) on either side or do dual exhausts (haven't decided yet). Obtain a under-bed spare tire mount. Get new 35" BFG Mud tires and wheels. Do a power steering conversion. Get a winch. Install a newer bench seat. And if I have some money left over, get a 5 spd transmission.

I plan on keeping my truck just exactly like it was the day I bought it new. My truck is kind of a memorial to my dad. He hauled mail in his Ford pickups. The day I bought my new 1984 Ford, I was so afraid he would chew me out for spending so much money, but his reaction was very favorable to it. A few years after I bought it , he tried to buy it from me, but I wouldn't let it go. My dad passed away back in 94. His last truck was a 92 Ford XLT Lariat 2 wheeler.
My pickup is in dire need of body work, but I'm going to wait a few years. I just hope some idiot doesn't run into me and bend the frame, then that's the end of Old Red. I'll probably save the 300 six and put it in something else if that happens.

Several years and several ford trucks later, finally on my way. 4X4 frame is painted, axles are painted and bolted in. Just put rear axle in couple days before christmas. New spring bushings, all new seals in axles, tranny and transfer. New wheel cylinders, hoses and lines. Cab is almost ready to mount. Got the floor-pan welded in and the underneath all wire-brushed and almost ready for paint. Still have to weld in cab-corners. Hardest part is done now (hopefully). All I can say is....... YEEAAHHH-BAAHHYYBBEEEHYY!!!! John

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
A T-bucket roadster. Imagine, a car the size of your kitchen table, with tires 25" wide, no hood, and a 1300HP 429cid where the hood should be... It will barely fit 2 people, the cam will beat me to death at stop signs, and I'll make a quick stop at every gas station. But there wouldn't be a Mopar/chevy ever built that could beat it; providing that I could keep the rear end planted firmly to the pavement!
Dreams for my 2wd '64 F-250:
I want a close factory restoration, with a carb, cam, and headers with cherry-bombs and dual 3" pipes on the 292, and an o/d tranny.

One of my dream cars would be a 90s T-bird with a hi output 351 V8 and fat rear tires with a 4 speed.
Another dream car would be a custom Ford Fairmont with 351, fat rear tires, 4 speed, and the rear converted to a pickup bed in the Ranchero style. I understand Ford really was going to continue the Ranchero on the Fairmont body style and then dropped it before production (though there may be a few in Austrailia).
Dream truck: early 40s Ford pickup street rod with 351 v8 and all the same stuff as my other dream cars, lowered front, chopped top, flames, etc. Although a Ford V10 would be pretty cool in this one too.
