Have any of you designed any useful front or rear bumpers?
I am interested in a building a "new" front bumper for my '70 F250 4x4.I am fixin' the truck up and it is a work truck and is used for hauling, towing, and any job it might have to do or what it did before i should say!
It will have a nice flat bed that is pretty fancy and useful in itself.
But to be honest i am runnin out of bread and dont want to chuck up the 120 for a new "refurbished"one.Nor can i find one that a big bumper jack hasn't already met!
But i am lookin for some good designs or ideas if any of you have any!
I would like to gaurd the mint grilles and headlight buckets i have searched for and finally found, but really dont care for any of the full gaurds i have seen on any of these trucks.I bet though somebody has done it the way it should be though
Any help appreciated!!!

Hey Blue how about the bumpers they use on forest fire trucks, it is about 8" channel with 1 1/2" pipe brush guards that wrap around the front fenders I have seen these guys push down 4" pine trees with these trucks in 4 wheel drive and they are one ton duallys with about 150 gallons of water on board. but that front bumper is awesome never a dented fender or a punched out radiator LOL JOHN (FATFORTY)
That dont sound to bad John.
I will have to think about the posibilites of the 8".
I usaully have the idea on paper but would like a little help this time!
Thanks,I'll try to draw that one up!
Have a place on the web i could go to see something like that?
Thanks John.

Blue I have a friend who has one of these bumpers he was trying to get me to put it on the front of my 86 but I just can't bring myself to take off a perfect chrome bumper with bumper guards to put this monster on I don't go in the woods that often my truck gets mostly road miles. it would probably make a really tough woods truck though with the diesel and detroit lockers on both ends LOL but it is to pretty to take in there and beat up it's a lariat black and silver with all the options. I posted pics here but they aren't up yet !!! maybe soon.... if I get this scanner figured out I'll try to send you some pics of the bumper this weekend. John (FATFORTY)
Blue, every time I scan a picture it automatically goes to a bitmap file (BMP FILE) I can't load them they are to big I even tried to load it on my web page but it will only take jpg files I'm pulling my hair out here told my wife I was going to diconnect it and put the camera back in. But the scanner gives us a fax and alot of other options the camera doesn't. any help would be greatly appriciated. thanks JOHN (FATFORTY)
Maybe i shouldnt have said i could help!I dont know why?
