The building permit for my garage would be really special (applied for today) but I don't expect to see it until after new years the permits dept is in no hurry here. We got our best present last Tues when we adopted Winky, a 2-3 yr old stray from the animal shelter. She is a mix of Sheetzu (the posting censors won't allow me to spell it correctly!) and Whoknows and is an 8# bundle of love! She came at such a perfect time as we lost Josie, another rescue we got two yrs ago that was 10+ yrs old and in poor health when she was found, about 2 weeks ago. That was a very sad day indeed, but now Winky brings a big smile to our faces every time we look at her, and joy back into our lives.

Way to goAXracer. Good of you to do that this time of the year as so many are out in the cold or being put down through no fault of their own.

That, my friends, is a whole lot more difficult than it sounds! That is the primary reason I went to the Darkside. I purchased, had boiled and fluxed three different blocks looking for a rebuildable block. All were cracked. I bet I spent 6 months and $500 looking for a rebuildable block before caving in and going rod.

I will keep my eyes open for a flatty. There is a place in Seguin that had several blocks last time I was down there about 1 1/2 years ago. Seems like the place was called "Johns" Vintage Salvage. Actually had a phone book listing.

Appreciate the tip. I will certainly look into it.
