Also, just a little FYI......if you want tons of light I would get a different light.

I got the Hella 500s since I wouldn't use them much and they were cheap for the pair.
You would definately get much better lighting out of a better light.

I'm probably going to use something different on my 07.

DC, how well do they shine thru the grill ? I realize some light would be lost, but how much. Best part about them is: there out of site for theft and damage. They look good too.

The PIAAs are great, IMO. I have on occastion shut off all my other lights and run just on the PIAAs. Since they are fogs they don't have long distance but light up ditch to ditch very well.

The lights shine through the grill well, I don't think very much light is blocked.

Great looking truck. I've wanted to add lights to my truck but until i saw yours i wasn't that inspired. Now i am. Where is the grill from? I'm looking at one from Car Parts wholesale (via E-bay)for $120. Its chrome with about ten horizontal bars. I'm concerned that is may not let enough light through. Can you post a picture of a close up of your grill? Thanks..

It's a Trendz billet grille that was painted black.

Closeup:

I also have a Precision Billet Grille and a Stull Billet Grille, very similar bar size and spacing to the above.

I never saw the pics of the bumper mounts. Any chance you could post them?
Thanks!

I don't have any step by step pics of the bumper.

Just a matter of making the mounts to recess the lights, cutting the bumper, welding them in and smoothing everything out.

I also reshaped the lower corner of the bumper for better tire clearance.

I did the same lights in the bumper to my 07.

I think we still have some of the Keystone Heat Extractor hoods in stock on special for $599 plus shipping.
Fit and finish are very good on this hood.

There are knock offs....but I wouldn't recommend them. I have a knock off on my 07, fit was horrible compared to the keystone. Spent about 2 hours aligning the knock off with my friend's employee at his body shop.

I wasn't so much looking for a step-by-step but was wondering:
1) How did you seal between the bumper and the light/mount;
2) Is the light mounted via the normal mounting lugs or is it mounted via it's circumfrence;
3) Is the mount welded to the bumper and if so, I'd assume the bumper is painted;
4) If the mount is not welded to the bumper, what did you use to cover the edge of the cut-out.

A pic from the back of the bumper, inside the wheel well perhaps, would be worth a thousand words.

If you can, thanks, if you can't, thanks anyway.
