Does anyone know of a good source for factory pinstripes for a 1993 F150? I have done a search and didn't come up with anything. I took the factory stripes off my truck because they were peeling and chipping and faded out real bad. I would like to order a new set and put them back on. Thanks for your time.
You may have to try to get them through a dealer to get the factory originals. You can probably find something close to it at any automotive paint supply store.
Dude, now is the time to experiment a bit and go crazy with some of the ultra cool new designs and graphics that they have at any decent speed/aftermarket house. Unless of course you WANT to stay stock - which is kewl too - I guess. SIGH! Just a thought for ya.
with the thought of pinstripes, i once saw a truck that had some that looked like a strand of barbed wire. i thought it looked pretty slick. Does anyone know where i could find a some?
Thanks for your replies and suggestions. I am going to check out the link someone posted pertaining to factory stripes. My truck is black, ext. cab stepside with silver at the very bottom. It has a small tri-color stripe seperating the black from the silver. And then, the same stripes only bigger along the sides about where the door handles are. Only thing, the stripes are silver, purple and pink. UGGHH!!!!! Felixr, I removed them by using a round eraser type wheel that fits on the end of a drill. It is made for removing pinstripes. I bought it at an O'Rielly's parts store, but any paint and bodywork supply house should carry them. It works wonderfully! It removes the stripes and adhesive at the same time without dulling the paint underneath. I had tried everything, including goo-gone, oops, simple green, etc.
wow, thanks dude . . and good luck with what you want to do with it. i've got a white paint job with light blue and aquamarine pinstripes . . . . *BARF*
ya try the paint supply houses or you can go to your local bodyshop they can tell ya where to get them or even give ya an im not sure not to expensive price on gettin new ones or even painting them on.....
