87 302ho Efi

I just purchased a 87 Bronco with a 302HO and as I always do I want to start designing a new motor for this truck. As this is the first EFI motor I am going to do I was curious is how much the EFI in these trucks flow in the equivelent of a carb. Also would it be cheaper to just carb it and be done?

I'm not sure just how much the EFI can handle. If you are going to modify it a good bit I would carb it. I'm not a big fan of any factory EFI system. This is just my personal opinion.

your efi is speed density. it can handle various upgrades like heads, headers, cam, intake, throttle body. the key is the cam, find one with a lob seperation no less then 114* and everything else will be happy. oh dont change the injectors either. the stock 19lb ones will work just fine. a 5.8 swap can also be done, its a drop in swap and bolts right to the tranny. a few minor things will need changed but this would be the optimal gain especially with a few mods as well.
