Ebay Headlights any good?
I bought some of the trailer mirrors off ebay, and they were crap. The shake and wiggle any time i'm going fast enough (<30mph), so i'm a little cautious now. Has anyone had experience with any of them? Pros? Cons?? I like the look of some of the headlights, but wonder if there are going to be fogging issues, errors in fit, or general product failures.

I bought a set of the clear ones for my 99 to make it look newer. I like the look, and the fit is just okay, but the performance SUCKS! The old cloudy ones gave off a better light pattern and illuminated the road much better than the clear ones. I am going to try a set of those Silverstar light bulbs and see if that works.

I bought a set similar to these: Item number: 8022629301.
Check out my gallery to see how they look. These are aftermarket and the fit wasnt perfect but I got them on. I didnt like the fact that the headlights and signals didnt stay flush.

i dont know if this is on the topic, but i bought some Sylvania Silverstars off ebay. i get almost Everything off ebay...
they retail for $35 per bulb new, and i got two for the headlights (9007) and two for the foglights, (9005) for $67 shipped for ALL 4. great deal, i saved over $65.
i just installed my heavyduty summit light harness, and dang that was acutally kind of fun to install. alot more lighting, too.

Excellent question! I've been tempted to upgrade the look of my '99 with new headlights, but a bit scared to buy off ebay without knowing they would fit well (I don't want to cut my truck). I also would like a better light pattern. I've been told the aftermarket lights by APC were quality stuff, and I've seen a few advertised on ebay. Anyone try the APC brand?

I wanted the look, and quality so I got the real deal. I had aftermarkets on my mustang, and they were horrible. Try this site, Its where I got mine for the truck. They do not sell the corners though, you have to go to the dealer for those.

I am happen with the light mine put out. they are EXTREMELY bright. getting them adjusted just right was pain, so I took it to a budy that does state inspections and they did it for me. It is a little annoying that people think I have my brights on and are flashing me, but I just have to laugh when I flash em back and the whole damn street lights up.
