Diagnostic Software

I have a '91 F150 w/ 4.9L Any recommendations on pc based diagnostic/code readers. I have heard that some are little more than what a shop would charge. In that case it would be worth an investment as it will be used many times.

I am not aware of any pc based software for OBDI vehicles; however, there is a lot of software out there for the OBDII vehicles.

I bought a OTC Nemisys scanner off of e-bay because I have OBD-I and OBD-II vehicles. It was pricey - $550 - but I do a lot of my own work. It has software for a p.c. that is on the basic side. It was one of the few scanners out there for OBD-I that could do data logging as well as read the codes.

Autoenginuity had a good interface for a pc, but it was only OBD-II.
