That key shouldn't cost you any more than $25. And like 4.6Ranger said, if you already have 2 programed keys, you can program the third yourself, for free. If you're down to one, then the dealer has to re-program the security system to get the new key to work. the cost for that is anywhere from $0-$50.
Yeah you just have to get the key cut and you can really do that where ever you want (home depot is one place) And then to have it start the truck you need to make sure its programed to the securilock system so the truck does not go into stolen mode. The instructions for that are pretty simple and in the manual in the locks and security section.. (you have 2 ignitons keys that work right?)
I have seen these keys all over e-bay for sale. They are all the same plain black with a Ford logo cut out.I own the same kind of keys but a friend of mine has a small blue Ford emblem on his keys.Same size as the cut out.In the same spot. Now where could I be able to get a set of these keys or are they just limited?
yeah, they look like secuilock keys. Though i still wish it had the blue oval too
soon ford will start using those key fobs where the buttons are built into the key like on the fusion. But they still will still be security keys which is good...
