Question windshield wipers inop

I have a 94 bronco with cruise and tilt, my problem is the windshield wipers won't work unless the headlights are in the high beam position, they will run at the low and high speed but do not work if intermitent settings are used also if I turn on the turn signal the wipers stop until the turn signal cancels out all this is with the switch in the high beam position if set at the low beam position the wipers are inop altogether unless I switch manually from high speed to low speed and then they will only cycle once. I suspect the the problem lies in the steering column and if so do not have a clue about how to remove the airbag to address the problem but will find out about that later if you guys think thats where I should be looking. If you need more info I'll be glad to get it here to ya'll. Thanks......Terry

Hehehehe... now thats a contrived set of symptoms there. Sounds like the multi-function switch has gone the way of the Dodo. If memory serves yo umay be able to access it without having to disturb the wheel and airbag too much. The cover surrounding the column just behind the wheel will ned to come off but the switch may be accessible once the cover is off. Its late and my memory isn't what it should be right now.
