I would like some suggestions and sources for after market grills and lights.
I have a 2000 with the older style parking lights and head lights. I have been thinking about changing them over to the projector style light and putting the clear parking lights on.
I was wondering if anyone has changed the lights over, which brand you got and where. I have been looking on eBay and see a lot of stuff but have no idea if it is junk or not. In the projector style of light you go from a single bulb high/low to separate bulbs. Have not been able to get much information on the changeover. I am hoping they have a custom wiring harness for the conversion but so far I have found only found one source on eBay that spells out what you get with the lights.
ALSO... I would like to upgrade the grill.
OVERLAY VS. REPLACEMENT...??
I have seen an overlay set from J&J that looks great but can not find retailer online.... ANY SUGGESTIONS????
I just finished upgrading my headlights and corner markers. I have a pic tomorrow for you. I got the newer 02 headlight and the corner markers are all clear. Both won on ebay. The headlights cost me a total of 93 bucks and the sidemarkers around 38. Amber bulbs were 6. I also won a Stull Grill on ebay. It is not an overlay. I replaced the grill with a chromed metal unit and the chrome cover also came with it. Now, the chrome cover has imperfections, but they are on the part that is covered by the hood. That cost me 155. If you have noticed on ebay, the light sellers charge almost 35 bucks to ship! I bought mine from a guy in Hawaii. He only charged me the actual costs. I can send you the ebay pages for this stuff if you want. IM me with your email address.
You were bidding on those lights? Small world indeed. Yes the grille is a huge improvement. The real grilles will all be over 100. Most of the cheap overlays will be under. Some I looked at were over 100. Not worth the money, IMO.
FYI. I bought a set of clear new style lights from an ebay vendor a year ago. They look great but they were made in china (or some other far east country) and not FoMoCo parts. Problem is they are not moister proof. One of mine is fogged up. Sure I saved some money but I bought some disappointment.

Hey CaptEd, I had the same problem with my EBay headlights. It's not that they are not moisture proof, it's that thay don't breath enough. I drilled 2 1/16 holes in the bottom of each light (where the water collects) to let the condensation out and the air in, and have been good to go now!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have thought of doing this but was afraid dust and dirt would get in and instead of fog I would have mud!. Have you noticed any dirt in the lights since the holes.
Thanks
