ok dumb question here but i need an answer.....i have the factory wheels on my 94 f150, with 33x12.5/15 BFG's on them, i believe the factory wheels are 15x7.5 i think, im looking at a set of 15x10 wheels, will these wheels make your tires any wider?.....if so how much wider cause im trying to fit these on my truck its a 94 F150 4x2 with a 3" body lift, and like i said 33x12.50 BFG's i have 2" spacers on there now to offset the factory wheels....will this work? thanks for your help
If stock wheels are 7.5" wide and you run 2" spacers, then 10" rims would be effectively the same width. the trick is to get the right backspace so your tires go out by the fenders where you want.
Is there a stock F150 wheel backspace guide anywhere for various year F150's?
No your tires will not be any wider because of a wider rim, the profile may appear to be flatter across the tread though, as far as the spacers go why would spacers be used on stock wheels??

to widen the stance of the truck and give it the offset wheel look, why else do you think?

For cosmetic resasons then, fair enough. I did not know why the spacers were used in this situation that's why I ask. That is not a common practice used on trucks in this area, it is seen quite frequently on import sport cars though.
Spacers are to get a shallower backspace so the tire does not rub in the inside.
For example we have an 05 F150. It has stock 17x7.5' rims with 18 mm offset.
The backspace would be about 7.5"/2 +18/25.4 or 3.75+0.7 or 4.45".
We are looking at Eagle Alloy 187's:
That are 6x135 bolt pattern, 18x9 with 2 mm offset.
These would have a backspace of 9/2+2/25.4 or 4.5" plus 0.1 or 4.6".
Pretty close to the stock rim of 4.45" backspace, but to make it the same a 1/8" spacer (0.125") would give us an effective backspace of 4.48".
So, what we are looking at now is that the wider rim (9" vs stock 7.5") will stick out more so we want fenders trim adders that make more width on the fenders by 1.5".

It would seem that the BFG's would be a better fit on the 10" rim rather than the stock 7.5 rim, don't know how wide you can go up front on a 2wd 150, but I have 10.5" width tires on stock 8" alloy rims on a 90 4wd Bronco with plenty of room (2" plus) with the wheel hard right to left. Good luck with the new wheels they look great!!
