For Identification: The FMX has a removabe bell hosing like the C4 but it bolts from the outside.

k, heres the scoop, the trans will be overhauled by hughes transmission, im thinkin about changing drivelines to a 1pc drive line, and the i think im just gonna fab up a new x-member. thanks for advice on the shift arm! that should help!
one more time for the explanation on the "explosion". there has been a bearing noise for a little while similar to an altenator bearing noise, fluids been fine, then one day, i pulled out of a parking lot straightened up on the road and laid in to it pretty hard, kinda usaual tho! first gear seemed to hold out a hair longer, then on the 1/2 shift, it felt and sounded like a shotgun went off under my seat! rpms screamed up, and the truck went knowhere fast! now at first i thought ujoint, no driveline slap, then i thought axle, i was rolling to fast and to smooth for the axle to goof, and the bearing noise is louder and more deep, so im pretty sure its the trans, but i honestly havnt tore into anything yet, just got the truck towed home and found a c6/289 to cheap to pass on, and thats that!
