Question rear brakes locking

Hi, i have a 93 F150 4.9L, auto, 2wd with 159,000 miles. I leave it set overnight or several hours the rear brakes lock with even the slightest pressure. I haven't torn it apart yet but i'm thinking a leaking axle or brake cylinder? Any other ideas?

New shoes? I had a set on my '92 4wd f150 that would do this. They seemed to absorb moisture from the air, more so when it was raining or damp. Other than being contaminated with brake fluid or diffferential grease, the only other thing I can think of is plain old dirt.

Moisture is the most common cause of this but your two ideas are also on par. The only way to check this is to pull the drum and see. Mine does the moisture burn every morning in the spring & fall.
Cheers,
Tim

My eBrake would always stick after any overnight rain.
