Is Her Power Steering Pump Going???
I've got a 2000 F-350 auto w/ 7.3PSD. Shes got about 87,300 on the clock. I've noticed some slight vibrations in the steering wheel in the past week or so. If I turn the wheel fast, it's really smooth. If I turn it slowly or make lane "corrections" I feel something that is almost like a binding or sticking. I greased the front end and have yet to fix the problem. It seems to be worse when the engine is hot and it doesn't matter what RPM's shes at. It's not a big deal but it's driving me nuts. Power steering fluid is full. I hear that the power steering pump runs the brake booster, which makes me worry a little bit.
