Did they make a hd-excursion? If so any pics out there? I know they make a hd truck I just wander what options came with the package. I have the HD exhaust tip that i will be adding to my X. I was thinking of building my own HD-X......
Ford never made them but I remember watching discovery channel show Orange County Choppers and they have (or had) a excursion with the orange and black combo. Looks nice.
I've seen two different X's done up like the F250 HD. Both were black with the HD tape and emblems. I asked and the guy said he did it himself. If you like the look, do it yourself. Should be alot cheaper than getting a HD truck from ford.
In looking at the consignments for the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January there is a "Harley-Davidson Excursion 1 of 1" listed. If you read the description, I think they are saying that this was built to order by Ford but without the Harley seats.
if it is true, i actually am glad that ford did not mass produce this one. i dont like it. its just a plain excursion with an ugly (not even straight on the back) pinstripe. they didn't even remove the excursion emblem on the back. they just put the harley ones over top of the standard emblem on the tailgate. all the other equip on the truck anyone can install on any excursion. the tv, so, i have 5 in mine. the only thing i do like about it is the front. even that is the same as the real harley. SORRY, DONT LIKE IT..BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OPINIONS......
I have to putup the BS flag on this one. I find it very hard to believe that Ford Motor Company built that rig. It's possible that a Ford DEALER did it. Ford does not do that kind of stuff. The only things that Ford is willing to do is a special color, but you'd need to buy something like 20 of them.
Still,I'd love to know about that underdriver-overdrive deal.
Matt, It Is Like Another Trans That Butts Against The First One. Like A Doubler Kit. Alot Of 4x4 Guys Have Them When You Have A Really Big Gear And Tire Setup. Ex; If You Have 44" Tires, 5.38 Gears, You Put The Doubler Kit On, And It Doubles The # Of Forward Gears You Have Making It Like You Have Stock Gears.---the Description Is Kind Of Lousy, There Are Also Several Other Reasons To Have This In A Vehicle. just dont feel like typing tonight.

As far as HD-Ex goes there are plenty of aftermarket products available. Just be ready to crank out some $$$$(like black leather, logo… this and that). Hey and what more, there are F650 EUV's (Extreme utility as they call it) around now, just Google you should able to find a lot of ready-made products. <O</O
