E350 6.0 PSD oil filter

Recently purchased a E350 with a 6.0 PSD and want to change the oil and oil filter. Good grief! As a DIY I've never seen so much engine packed into such a small compartment. Surely, someone will let me in on a step by step method of getting to the oil filter in order to change it. Also, any trick to changing the
fuel filter that's on top of the engine?

i havent done the fuel filter yet but ill let u know after this weekend...............im going to do the oil and the fuel filter changes..

As for thr oil, the filter is actually on the bottom of the engine, just get under it u cant miss it.........otherwse all the instructions are the same from the trucks.

Oh, make sure to drain the oil pan first......then take the filter off.

Talking

Just crawled under the van with a flashlight to find that oil filter- still took me a while. Wasn't expecting it to be mounted horizontal.
Being so low, yes, drain the pan first.

Appreciate the info........Am really relieved that that filter isn't at the top of the engine.

Yeah, I'd be interested to hear
how you make out changing the fuel filter.

ummmm hold on bluesmoke, i dont belive its horizontal........im pretty sure its vertical, hanging down off the engine......but i may be having a brain fart (my other truck is a F-350, the E-350 is my fathers). Before u do anything make sure it is the oil filter.

It should be a Black Plastic Cylinder with a large "nut" on the end, i just use a large monkey wrench......just dont over torque it when putting it back on..........veryyyy veeeery little.......... and be sure to use the supplied replacement o ring that came in the filter box.

It should be right under the engine........ if its anywhere else u may have found the fuel filter? the main fuel filter is under the truck, looks like the same black plastic canister, and it is horizontal........then there is the secondary on top of the engine.

Yup, that's the oil filter OK, just changed it.
The van has Quigley 4x4 conversion. If the oil filter were (still) mounted vertically, there would be a conflict with the front drive shaft.

Blue,

I just posted a question in the van section, asking opinions on the gas or diesel in the Quigley?

I plan on having one built and was curious on mileage with either and how much drag with the 4 x 4?

Please let me know any info. Since they're quite a large sum of duckets, I need to make the best decision!

I drive a fair distance regularly and would like the best for the money.

Thanks,

Adam
