I have a 1997 F350 Powerstroke and it has a Ford APCM in it and it reads 0 for the rpm display
the idle control works but it just does not read the rpm's
could it be just a disconnected wire or something minor
or do i need to get a new module

sounds like maybe a bad wire...
is yours the factory ford led unit?
but i think all our trucks come wired for them so i am not sure why it wouldnt be working. but as long as it adjusts the idle i guess all is ok i mean after all you can look at the tach.
btw a new one of those is like 600.00 from ford...i wanted 1 until i saw the price a few weeks back.
