Good Dsl or catv broadband will usually have faster download speeds than a T1, but as your speed test showed, the T1 has better upload speed. Your T1 is probably doing much more than just providing broadband. It can also provide your entire communications need's for the buisness. A T1 is pretty versatile. Some folks do have T1's for broadband because there are no cable length requirements. You can live in the boonies or where ever. It's just a matter of money.

All good points, guys. Our T1 is connected with the Ford and Chevy store, Tires and Accessories, mainframe server, yada yada. Also firewalled until the cows come home. I'm sure all that factors in.

I've done some online gaming with guys from texas who say they have T1 drops available for the same price as cable/dsl in their houses. These are people I have gamed with for quite some time so I have no reason to believe they where lying.
Although T1 line is 1.5mb throughput up and down, my premier cable is 9mb down and 1mb up. I'll take the extra d/l speed and sacrafice the 500kb of upload.
