Im Torn

Im torn...

Diesel vs gas in my area now is only 12c diff. I know it may go up or down and you could beat yourself death over it.

Always wanted to try a diesel, what to do a small lift and bigger tires, so that will eat up some MPG..

the reported 11.5 to 12 of the V10 and the reported 14 to 15 around town of the diesel will probably shrink to 9-10 v10 and 12- 14 diesel.

then of course we have the issues of the 6.0 to take into consideration.

hmmm

Have you owned a diesel before? If you have, then i'm sure the decision would be easy

I understand your dilemma, but it's really a no-brainer for anyone who pulls a trailer. I always wanted a diesel but until recently I couldn't justify the expense. Ironic in that fuel is now a quarter a gallon more expensive than gas. This drove the nail home:

A 1300 mile roundtrip last weekend to pick up a K30 in MD.

Just do it! Happy Holidays.

I have never owned a V10 or a diesel (on my 2nd SD V8) but I would say to evaluate your need and buy accordingly, regardless of fuel costs, which will fluctuate anyway. If you are towing or carrying heavy loads a lot then a diesel should be considered. My friend has a V10 Excursion and he finds that it tows 7000 lbs effortlessly and gets about 11 to 12 and around 9 towing. If you are worrying about gas cost, what about the cost of the diesel purchase and the added maintenence tht I understand that they require. All factors to consider.

I sense alittle irony in this post !

Why would you drive 1300 miles to pick up a cheby?
