Thumbs down Problems with only 57miles

I have an 05 Lariet SC 5.4 4x4. The vibration at 65 to 70 really really sucks. My luck has been terrible, and I am getting very upset at the whole "Ford" thing. It is in service right now getting looked at. They just called and said that one tire was bad, and called back while test driving and said it still isn`t fixed. Please, does anybody have any fix Ideas! Thanks

Mine truck ( '05 Scab HD F150 4x4) did the same thing on my test drive, and was supposed to be fixed on delivery. The dealer I bought the truck from said the tires develop flat spots and the shaking should go away in a while (never gave me a straight answer).
I took the truck to another dealer who is closer to me and they all they did was balance the tires. The shimmy went away for good.

These trucks sit on lots for quite some time, some of them never move for months. It's definately not out of the realm of possibilitys to have several flat spoted tires.

Hang in there, they'll get it figured out!

Ask to have the tires road force balanced, not traditional balancing. It really helped mine.

I had the same problem yesturday morning on my way to work. I got on the interstate and as soon as i got above 55 my truck felt like it was going to shake me off the road. I would drop back to 54 55ish and it would stop. I called work and told them i was going to be late VERY MAD at my truck. I changed the oil and proceeded to go to the dealership again EXTREMELY ANGRY I was driving agressive and faster than i was supose to and didnt notice my truck shimering anymore. I stoped at a local tire shop and got my tires rotated and balence and the shaking is ALMOST completely subsided. Im still going to take it to the dealer though thank god for extended warenties!!!!!

When I bought my truck, it had been sitting on the lot for several months with 26 miles on it. When I drove it, it shook, bounced and made grinding noises when i used the brakes. The dealer told me that I should drive it a few hundred miles and if it didn't correct itself once the tires rounded out and the rust wore off the rotors, they would fix the problem. Before the original tank of gas was used up, it smoothed out, quit grinding and has been slick and smooth ever since. I found out last winter that water can freeze or mud can get in a groove on the polished aluminum wheels and cause an inbalance until it melts or is cleaned.

Really sounds like some flat spotting and maybe a tad amount of inbalance, especially when you mention specific speeds.

It happens to even the $500,000 exotics.

Nothing serious really, Hope it all gets worked out.

I had the same problem on my 05 FX4. Truck sat at dealership for too long and developed flat spots on tires. The dealer balanced the tires...problem still there took it back to dealer and they sent the tires out to be forced balanced.....problem still there. the third time i took it back and the dealer and they replaced all 4 Goodyear tires...Problem went away!
