shocks and leveling kit?

I have a 99 7.3 f-350 4x4 dually and am planing on getting the stock replacement bilstein shocks for my truck, my question is will i be able to use these shocks with a 2-2.5 in. leveling kit. Ive been reading this forum for a while but dont post very often, i know there are some very knowledgable people on here so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

usually, you get new shocks with a leveling kit. or at least i did, but i got new leaf packs, not just add-a-leaves. if you arent getting shocks in the kit, i would get ones designed for 2-3'' lift, and get stock rear shocks.

my shocks at ride height, are about 4'' away from fully extended. i am assuming these shocks are for a mild lift, as i can put on a shackle drop (which i plan on) to give me 2'' more lift in the front because i am still nose down. i can still use those shocks too.

I had similar/same problem. I needed new shocks on '99 x-cab psd I bought used last summer but was planning on installing a leveling kit in the near future. So I bought the Bilsteins for the lift in the front and stockers for the rear. The new shocks didn't fit on the front, too long. So I put on the leveling kit sooner than expected.
