new guy

Hello all, as you can tell I am a new guy to this forum, but not new to Fords and Ford trucks. I have over the years had many ranging from 1947 to 1997. I now have a 1982 XL, F-150/ now is a F-350 4x4 with a 460, a 1992 xlt 4x4, a 1992 and 1997 Explorer and a 1955 F-600 dump. I will need help from time to time with parts and do have some questions at to my explorers.
Other than my Trucks, I have and restore old Cougars and many other old Fords.
I look forward to working with all of you!
Thanks
Ken

Welcome mercurycat to FTE. Sounds like you are into Fords which is good. The 1955 F-600 dump is a neat truck, tell more about it and some of the other older Fords that you have had.

I got the 55 to move soil at the house. The back hoe that I use to fill the 55 is a 1959 Case 320. The truck has a 292 Y block , a manual trans and a two speed rear. It runs like new, and I think when I am done, I might do a resto on the body. I have had over the years a 1947, a 48, 70 & 75 Bronco, a 1970 F-100 4x4, 1973 dump, 1979 F-250 camper spec. and the newer ones listed in the post.
As to other Fords, I have two 1966 Galaxie 7 liters, one with a 428 and the other with a 427, two 70 Cougars, one sunroof car and one convrt. a 69 spitfire and a 63 sunbeam.

I do restorations on old Cougars and Mustangs for a living, so many of my autos fall victom to the "shoe makers kids situation"

Thanks for the shout back.
Ken

The two 1966 Galaxie 7 liters with a 428 and 427 are my dream cars.
I had a 76 XLT F150 with a 428 and wish that I had never sold it as it is almost impossible to find another 428 any more. I have a 67 Mustang fastback R code (390) and would like to have a 428 in it. I also have a 65 GT fastback and an 83 5.0 Mustang convertible. Lots of old Ford trucks from 53 to 71 as well.

Sounds like you have quite the collection as well. Last week I picked up a 64 1/2 and I did have a 86 convert, but my friend has it now. As for my two 66 Galaxies, The 428 car was bought to fix the 427 as they made 11,000 428 7 liters and only 36 427 cars. The 428 car came with a 1970, 429 CJ in it.
My 1970 Cougar sunroof car has a 390 with a 428 crank and a 6 pack. It is faster than my friends 67 Shelby GT500. You can get the 390 to realy GO.
