Question?

What will it take too convert my 1974 Ford F-250 360cid 4X4 auto from Mechanical fuel pump too Electric and if i miss a thread on this can somebody please direct me to it, I've spent alittle time here before i became a memeber looking information on this subject and may have missed something some where?

It can be simple or complex , being a simple person , I'll start with that . Buy an inline electric pump, disconnect your fuel lines from your mechanical pump, paying attention to the flow , install the electric pump in those hoses and tighten the clamps . Run the ground to a good ground and the hot either to ignition switched hot or to a manual switch that you can control fromn the cab. Install a fuse in the circut for safety. To mount the pump you may have to get longer fuel hoses to reach it to the frame . my 2c's, bob

awesome but do i need to place acover where the old pump sat to protect anything from where the old pump is or do i have to remove the old pump

The best thing is to remove the mechanical pump and put a block off plate on there. IIRC, the plate for big block chevies is the correct size and shape for most Ford pumps.
