[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Jan-02 AT 06:32 PM (EST)]I was just wondering about a question that has baffled me for some time now, i dont know what kind of transfer case i have. the **** that was on the truck when i got it was as follows:
4lo
N
4hi
which wasnt right, its actually
4lo
N
2hi*
4hi
*note when in 2wd then the front driveshaft does NOT turn
I've looked on the transfer case and couldnt find any markings but with the grease thats down there who knows. thanks alot
Assuming the truck is the one in your Sig. line then it will be the NP-205 cast iron all gear t-case. Only two t-cases came in '79 fords. NP-203 4loc/4lo/n/4hi/4loc
NP-205 4lo/n/2hi/4hi
NP-203 is full time in stock form and
the NP-205 is part time.
