Has anybody bought and used door and/or window weatherstripping from JC Whitney? I'm looking at buying the window channel, the window wipers (JCW calls it "belt weatherstrip"), and the weatherstrip that goes around the doors. AutoKrafters has them too. Anybody have experience with JCW or AutoKrafters weatherstrip quality? I appreciate any suggestions......
Yes, I have used the JCW rubber molding for doors, also used the window runners that stopped all the rattling.. I have had A++++ experience with their interior parts . I also used the med. blue carpet, door panels......
If you use them you probably wont be disappointed
i just finished installing the in/outside window strips, the wrap-around track seals, and the door seals themselves from jcw and had absolutely no complaints. the arrived pretty fast and even the metal strips inserted into the window seals lined up with my precut holes in the door. the whole kit for all pieces ran me just shy of $130 shipped but the silence is well worth it.
I got the door seals from JC and I can barely close my doors. I've tried adjusting the doors and it's been 2 months and they still don't close right. I'd get the door seals from higher quality source like Dennis Carpenter (someone that guarantees that the seals are the same as stock). I got the window channel and it worked OK, you really have to force it in there to get it to seal. I also got the anti-rattle kits and I'm pretty happy with those. Overall if I did it again I'd go with DC or Autokrafters.
Last summer I replaced all of the weatherstripping in my 75 F-100. I bought the parts from Dennis Carpenter and am very satisfied with the fit and the quality of the parts.
I'm looking for some advice on removing the door panel (drivers side) to replace the roll up window on my '78 F150 Ranger. Can't figure out the clips that hold the panel on... any help?
I am getting ready to buy the whole gasket and cab mount bushing thing, and after checking around, I think that I will go with JCW. Just my 2 cents. Who is this Dennis Carpenter? How do you contact him?

Had to return a light switch that was defective out of the oem box, but no problem getting it replaced. They aren't the cheapest on the web, but nice to know they stand behind their stuff, and it's first class. http://www.dennis-carpenter.com

I've replaced both door panels in my '78F-100, if you haven't received any replies let me know and I'll cue you in on my experience.

Because in some parts of the country its raining/snowing real good now. Not to be a smarty pants, but all those air leaks don't help during the coldest part of the year. Sometimes the newbies ask common Q's....and it's a good thread, yet it's not real conclusive which vender is a good source.
