one option is to measure the leaf springs length and width and try to match it with a later model year lift kit(add-a-leaves). Or have a spring co. make a set. Do NOT put blocks under the leafs in the front, as this is very dangerous. Re-arching the springs is another option, but I don't know if 4" is obtainable. I believe the 59/60 4x4 f250's look great at their stock height with a good set of knobby skinny tires. I don't believe their axles are designed for huge tires either.

I agree with you on the fact that they are nice looking stock and I know that the front axle shafts are rather weak in stock form, i think that they are only 19 spline, as a matter of fact, he already had to replace one and they are very hard to find. However he is pretty set on lifting it, so I told him that I would try to find something. Thanks for you help, I'll have to have him measure the stock springs.
