2.8" LIFT USA

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about the 2.8" LIFT USA kit? Thanks.

Looks like a real basic leveling kit/lift with Procomp shocks. I don't have one on mine but I am going to be lifting mine on Monday in a similar way.

I decided on a Procomp 2 inch leveling kit that comes with leaf springs on the front. I went with a Readylift rear 4 inch block. I liked the Readylift blocks because they look like the stock blocks that are already on the truck.

Ford F250 Super Duty 2005-2010, 2WD & 4WD, 4" Block Kit

I am also running Bilstein shocks instead of the Procomp shocks that came with the leaf spring kit I ordered.

I kind of pieced mine together. To be honest I could have probably purchased a 4 inch lift for mine with the money I spent piecing mine together. I really do not plan on taking mine off road though and it is purely for a cosmetic lift and a good ride.

To answer your question. The company that makes the mini front spring packs have told me they have sold thousands of these kits and they are on thousands of trucks. To me they seem to much like a block kit for the front end.

I decided to get the Procomp with replacement leafs for the front. That way if I decide that it is still not enough lift, I can always put a shackle lift on it and gain a little more lift to fit 35s comfortably.

Like I said earlier, looks pretty basic. You are basically putting some type of spacer under your factory leaf springs and getting longer U bolts and shocks to go with the spacers.

I'm confused as to why it says it includes 2" blocks for the rear

your F-250 already has 2" blocks from the factory....are they meaning you'll get a 4" block (like a F-350 has) to replace the factory 2" block....or do they want you to stack that 2" ontop of your current 2"?

not a bad price really I guess

That is a good point. If those are 2 inch blocks you are not going to gain any lift on the rear of your truck. Well maybe an 1/8th of an inch.

I would not stack those on top of the rear blocks, you are asking for trouble doing that.

Thanks for the advice guys. I didn't realize the 2" block issue that at all. (confirmation why I use this site). Definitely NOT going to stack them!

Shane,
I'm in a similar situation; although I do minimal off-roading - sometimes in getting to bike trails up to about a foot of water. For the most part, I don't need a full 4" lift, but just a few more inches. I don't want the height to overpower the 33's.

What leveling kit did you decide on? And let me know how it rides. I am VERY hesitant on using the LIFT USA because I can't find and don't see/hear many people using it.

PRO COMP is a different story. I was able to find lots of feedback (positive and negative). My decision lies in your hands. Not really, but it's humorous to say.

Thanks guys!

I went with the ProComp lift that came with front leaf springs.

Here is what came in the little white box.

The kit itself comes with Shocks from ProComp, however I did not purchase them with it. I decided to run Bilsteins instead. Time will tell if that was a smart move or not.

I went ahead and ordered an adjustable track bar from Zone Offroad. You can buy it from amazon for 100 bucks. Mine shipped to the door was $107.00

For the rear I went with the ready lift 4 inch blocks. I am hoping to get this all installed this week. Some of the bolts with this kit look really odd. Not sure where they go yet, but I imagine once I get it all apart they are going to make sense. Hopefully.

Shocks were $299.99. Procomp kit ran me $340.00. Ready lift rear blocks were around $150.00. And the adjustable track bar was another $100.00.

So I basically have around 900 dollars into all of this. Like I said, you could order a pretty good lift for that.

4wheel parts has the 4 inch ProComp complete kit for $920.00.

I have a 5.4 in mine and am currently running 285 tires and don't plan on going any larger on the tires for a couple years. My BFG ATKOs only have around 1500 miles on them right now.

I will let you know how it all turns out this week. Hopefully it will all go smoothly.
