heater hoses
I have a 99 Expy, 4.6L. I think the heater hoses are leaking and causing misfires on #4.
The heater hoses are a "T" shape assembly. Are there any aftermarket hoses available, or is it only a dealer item?
While I'm at it, I'll replace the PCV hose too. Is it just regular vacuum hose, or is it a molded hose?

This is very common above the #4 coil pack. Remove the spring clamp and replace with a adel (worm type) clamp and this should be a permanant fix. I have not heard of many people replacing heater hoses on these trucks even at 150k+. The PCV is a hard plastic line and is prone to cracking in the back and has caused many headaches I good piece of rubber fuel line will make a nice fix, ford wants like 20+ for the repair kit.

I blew out a heater hose in my 1999 two years ago. The dealer-installed replacement was definitely a better design than the original. The 1999 4.6 still uses the two-coil/eight spark plug wired EDIS system. No coilpacks to drown, at least near the heater hoses.
