Engine noise?
Riding with my buddy after a fishing trip, pulling a 4000# boat, his truck made a strange noise. It sounded like it came from the engine, a fast clicking sound, lasting a second or two. It did this several times in about 5 minutes. I think the truck is a 2004 F250SD with the off-road package.
He also told me he has to let the truck warm up or it won't shift correctly. He told the dealer this and was told this was normal for that type of transmission. Any truth to this ? Anybody had similar problems?

Never heard of this for the tranny. I've got the same truck and haven't had this problem or any of the other problems. This should be covered under warranty and I would get a second opinion.
