I still have my aluminum wheels with the caps as well...Same...Not sure why I kept them..I'll probably post mine on CL, or Marketplace sometime soon.

Very cool rig, even cooler is the fact you still have it.
After all this time you haven't had an issue with the lift kit at all?
I'm curious, the rear spacer seems easy enough to fabricate. But I'm not understanding what keeps it attached to the body? Maybe if I removed mine I would understand. So the spring seats itself to the round stock welded to the bottom of the block, but what keeps it attached to the body? Hopefully your still active on the forum!

Thanks

Thanks for the compliment. Yes...I still have the rig...lol. It was parked for a long time.

I had to use spacers for the front; and I am hearing a "pop" every now and then. I am going to pull them and find out what's up.

The rear coils have a bolt in the center up inside the coil attaching it to the unibody rail. I don't like the curve of the coils, so i want to modify the mounts to have an angle in relation to the mount. I'll post photos as I replace the mounts. I also need to fab a new transmission crossmember. The rubber mounts for the transmission fatigue and wear out. As I said before, I never intended the van to be an offroad truck. I just wanted to lift it a little for a better-looking tire and wheel combo and 15" wheels. As well as remove the "squat" it had before too.

I'll keep the post updated.

Thanks a bunch. Judging by the amount of views this thread has I'm sure others would enjoy the updates.
The transmission mount wearing out, that's just old rubber? No relation to the lift kit I'm assuming?

I'm hearing a similar Clunk or Pop coming from the front end. I was told when I got the van certified that the front control arm bushings are starting to wear out. I'm assuming that's what it is. Hoping to tackle that in the spring.
Thanks for keeping this thread updated, goodluck!

You're correct. The crossmember does not rally have anything to do with lift, but it affects the driveline angle.

I'll be moving the Aerostar to a place I can work and check the front control arm bushings as well. I remember placing the rubber piece on the coil when i installed my spacers. I read later that I was NOT supposed to do that. I am really hoping to get the rear lift problems sorted out in the next month. I will post photos as well.

I also plan to replace the tires with 215s instead of 205s. A little more meat looking tire.

I have to tell you...the Aerostar climbs a pretty radical incline, even though it's technically AWD and NOT a 4x4...lol
