Looks like most trucks are the newer ones. I like all but the 53-6 and the 67/72 are my favorites. What other years do we have in this forum? Be great to find out what the most common are.
before you guys disown me, it has a 93 twin i-beam front suspension (out of a ranger) ford 9" rear end on 4-links and i will be putting in a 5.8L efi and 5-speed
Well before i bought my 59 i had a 79 and that body style was my fav. That 79 was the best vehicle ever. Had it 14 years and should have kept it. I was the second owner. 302 C4 std brakes and steering and was never any major mechanical problems with it.....atleast nothing i couldn't fix !!
Having said all this, my 59 is shaping up to be a good truck too, ugly but different.
Well thanks. The first time i saw my truck was 2 years before i bought it. It was for sale and i went and looked at it and thought......UGLLLLLLY.
2 years later i am looking for an old truck....Ford, and read an ad in the P.A. and knew it was the same truck, maybe not as ugly this time.
93PGT, how about putting a Ford cab on this 1951chevy?... *yikes*as it has a 93 twin i-beam front suspension (out of a ranger) ford 9" rear end on 4-links and a 5.8L efi and 5-speed.
t_dickie, looks like you have a higher bar to aim for now, another Ford! How did you like the 89 Ranger?
The Ranger was a tough little truck. I put it through hell and back and only ever broke once. Snapped the front left axle. Didn't like to swim though.......(thats a whole other story from when I was young and stupid, now I'm just stupid)
