According to my 06 owners manual its located on the computer module or your dealer can give it to you. Don't know where the computer module is on the truck & I think they are refering to the module that controls the keyless entry rather than the ECU. I found the module for a town car behind the left door panel. Once you get the code enter it then press the 1-2 button & enter your own code thats easy to remember. I use something like the first digits of my birthday or phone #.
Its on the Security Module located behind in the lower center console area, where the lighter and cupholder are. In order to get to this you have to take off the dash (around IP) trim and then you can get the center part out. I want to get back in there on mine, however I just haven't set time aside to rip the entire thing apart.
Its on a sticker on the unit for the 05's. This is due to the keypad now being wired into the trucks. On the 04's and earlier they were just on the card as the keypad was wireless.
Would the location for the security module be the same on a 2004 F350? I bought the truck used and the dealer wants $75 to retrieve the code from the computer.
On the 2004, the code for the keyless entry keypad is part of the keypad, and not part of the main unit as its wireless and not hardwired like the 2005's.
I guess it is to the dealer I go so they can retrieve the code. Many thanks for the reply.
I have lot to learn about the 6.0,
My wife is now driving my 2001 7.3. F250 CC. It has the 4 positon Bullydog chip, 4" exhaust and gauges. She found the 04 F350 CC FX4 so she could have the 2001.
