Wrong Vin Codes in FAQ's
Just compared the vin codes listed in the Frequently asked questions thread.
Did these change over the years?
I have a 1997 Ford F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 with SRW.
W36 shows in the 5-7 positions in the VIN # of this truck.
According to your chart, the truck is listed as a F-350, Crew Cab 4x2 dually.
How accurate are these codes and have any other discrepencies been pointed out?

If you are talking about Monsta's Super Duty FAQs (pinned at the top of this forum), they are very accurate for the '99-'04 models. You don't have a Super Duty truck and the codes DO change over the years so it's not suprising that they wouldn't fit your truck's configuration.

There was no '97 F350 "Super Duty"- just the model you have. And it's a good one!
Gets kind of confusing because this is the Super Duty/Heavy Duty forum, but 98% of the posts are regarding the '99+ Super Duty. Most of the guys with the '92-97 'heavy duty' trucks (like your F350) hang out in the F150 forum for those years because the trucks are so close in parts used and there are more people to answer questions specific to those model years.
